post project color and form

Susan and Stu wanted to reclaim the garden of their new home in inner city Newtown – and with one of the most diverse (and longest) ‘briefs’ we’ve ever been given, we decided to have some fun and go mad with color, recycled materials, texture and just a tad of the eclectic, industrial and purposely overgrown and a little wild…

We used the existing historic bricks (originally made at the brickworks down the road at St Peters) that we unearthed under the concrete of the courtyard floor to build the raised garden beds.

A truly lovely couple who were open to every idea, however mad they may have seemed at the time. Thankfully they were over the moon with the result!
